LECTORS

When the Sacred Scriptures are read in the Church, God himself speaks to his people, and Christ, present in his Word, proclaims the Gospel. Therefore, the readings from the Word of God are to be listened to reverently by everyone, for they are an element of the greatest importance in the Liturgy.

Liturgy & Music

If you enjoy singing and have sung in music groups during your lifetime, we welcome you to join one of our choirs described below.

Youth Group

The purpose of the St. Ann Parish Youth Group is to foster spiritual growth, build meaningful relationships, and disciple teenagers in their faith, helping them bridge the gap between home and the broader church community.

Extraordinary Ministers
A Eucharistic Minister is a parishioner, selected by the Pastor and mandated by the Bishop, who serves, distributes, and administers the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ during the Holy Communion or Eucharist of the Church Service. In the Catholic Mass, they are referred to as “Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion” (the “ordinary” minister being the priest celebrant).
Ministers to the Sick
Eucharistic Ministers are also asked to bring Holy Communion to parishioners who are sick and/or homebound. The experience of bringing the Body of Christ to others who cannot attend Mass due to illness or other limitations is genuinely a gift from God.
Columbiettes

The Columbiettes are a national network of Catholic women who share the same values and are dedicated to growing our faith and serving our communities.
As Columbiettes, we are dedicated to making a meaningful difference in our community. The membership shares their talents and support for a variety of projects to help those in need. We are so proud to witness how all the activities benefit our church, community, the Knights of Columbus, and our members. We work together, play together, and pray for each other! We build lasting friendships and crucial support systems in our lives while living our faith.

HOSPITALITY (USHERS)
Ushers, as Ministers of Hospitality, are often the first and last person a parishioner or visitor meets at church. It is therefore crucial that they embody the welcoming spirit of a parish centered around Jesus. This can be achieved by greeting people with a warm smile and a few friendly words. It is also demonstrated through the Usher’s actions in assisting the congregation, especially those who are handicapped or elderly, to reach a pew. Ushers also collect the offerings and escort the Offertory procession of gifts to the Sanctuary.
