NORMS FOR EXTRAORDINARY MINISTERS OF HOLY COMMUNION
The administration of Holy Communion at Mass is an important liturgical ministry in the parishes of our diocese. While bringing the sacrament of the Body and Blood of Christ to the people, we witness to faith in the real presence of Christ by our actions and reverence with which we treat the Body of Christ.
In every celebration of the Eucharist, there are a sufficient number of ministers for Holy Communion. Those who fulfill this ministry are to be active members of the parish, at least 15 years old, have no impediment to receiving Holy Communion, and physically able to exercise this ministry. Those interested in becoming a Eucharistic Minister will receive formal instruction through the Diocese of Orlando.
If you are interested in becoming an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion, please contact the Parish Office at (863) 422-4370.
